Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Mechanic Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain a range of plant equipment and facilities on an evening shift. The role emphasizes hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, with opportunities to work across motors, pumps, boilers, cranes, and generation systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Industrial/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain plant equipment including motors, pumps, boilers, chillers, cranes, and power systems.
• Construct, repair, and maintain facilities and grounds.
• Perform welding, masonry, carpentry, minor machining, and plumbing duties.
• Use test equipment and adjust operations; inspect safety switches.
• Check and oil gearboxes, pumps, and engines; grease bearings and service mobile equipment.
• Ensure proper gear mesh and alignment of machinery.
• Make visual inspections of plant operations and log issues.
• Requisition parts and maintain spare parts inventory.
• Maintain records and log readings from equipment.
• Supply and maintain hand tools; coordinate with maintenance team.
• Observe EHS rules and keep the work area clean and safe.
