Job summary

Thorlabs is hiring for a position in its manufacturing team. The role involves working with colleagues to fabricate and process materials and parts, loading machines, and ensuring high-quality outcomes with minimal scrap.

On-the-job training is provided, and prior experience is not required. You will sort parts, inspect materials for defects, and maintain accurate records while adhering to safety and company procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or better.
• No prior manufacturing experience required; training provided.
• Ability to follow written work instructions and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist workers engaged in fabricating and processing materials and parts.
• Sort and count parts and materials.
• Examine parts and materials for defects.
• Feed, load, or remove parts from machines.
• Handle and Clean Specialty Fiber Optics, Precision Optics, and mechanical components.
• Understand written work instructions to manufacture final products with minimal scrap.
• Maintain records in the Manufacturing Database.
