Job summary

West Michigan Janitorial is hiring Custodian/Janitor to maintain cleanliness in a manufacturing/office setting. You will clean restrooms, mop floors, dust surfaces, and manage restocking of supplies. Daily tasks also include window cleaning and waste disposal.

This role involves standing/walking for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds. Shifts available from 3:00pm to 10:45pm with comprehensive benefits including medical, life, dental and vision insurance, paid vacation, sick days and

Qualifications

• No Experience required; on-site training provided.
• Ability to communicate clearly with manager and staff.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods, bend, lift up to 25 lbs.

Job Skills / Requirements

Requirements of Custodian/Janitor:

• No Experience, No Problem!
• Effectively communicate with manager and other staff regarding issues and supply needs
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
• Must be able to wear safety glasses and work in an active environment
• Must be able to pass a background check

Role of Custodian/Janitor:

• Maintaining the cleanliness of a manufacturing/office environment
• Cleaning, stocking and sanitizing restrooms
• Disposing of trash & recycling
• Mopping & sweeping floors
• Dusting and surface cleaning
• Windows and glass cleaning
• Inventory management of supplies

Custodians/Janitors have daily exposure to cleaning solutions.

Shifts available: 3:00pm to 10:45pm
