Job summary

Chestnut Labs is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform and oversee maintenance on production and utility equipment. You will read schematics, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and support installation of new systems in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires 2–4 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining safety and quality standards. Benefits include health/vision insurance and a 401K.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade/technical schooling preferred in electrical/mechanical areas.
• 2–4 years maintenance/electrical/hydraulic experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
• Certification and/or license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment per safety procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections for reliability.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders.
• Assist installation of new equipment.
• Troubleshoot with operators to minimize downtime.
• Document repairs and maintain required paperwork per SOP.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and safety.
• Maintain safe working conditions and regulatory compliance.
