Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform basic to advanced repairs across multiple hospital sites. You will read blueprints, operate hand and power tools, and use the Maintenance Request System to manage tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent with Technical School training preferred.
• Minimum 4 years previous general maintenance or construction work.
• Massachusetts driver’s license required; Special Operator’s License must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to read blueprints or schematic drawings; operate hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs basic and advanced repairs from start to finish using the Maintenance Request System.
• Collaborates as part of a team across campuses; supports construction/renovation projects.
• Safely uses hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Reads blueprints or schematics to perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Maintains stock, tracks tasks, and keeps accurate records of work orders.
