Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Engineering and Maintenance Department on a 12-hour shift (7:00 AM-7:30 PM). You will coordinate and lead maintenance projects, inspect and repair patient transport equipment, TVs and furnishings, and manage daily work orders.
Under supervision, you will perform building repairs, inventory maintenance, and support minor contract work, ensuring safety and high-quality workmanship in a healthcare environment.

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, Plant Operations, provides a variety of administrative and lead maintenance functions for the Engineering and Maintenance Department and coordinates special projects as assigned. 12-hour shift 7:00 AM-7:30 PM Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, one week Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, the next week
Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Vocational/trade school courses preferred.
Licensure, Certification, Registration: None required.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Working knowledge of building repairs, i.e. carpentry, flooring, Hilti fire stopping techniques, TV cable repair. Familiar with computer use for equipment/data material search. Familiar with mechanical systems preferred.
Experience: 2 years progressive experience in general building maintenance in a healthcare facility.
Pay Range: $29.00 - $39.03
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
