Job summary

University of Vermont Health Network seeks a Maintenance Technician II for the Central Utility Plant at the Main Campus in Burlington, VT. This evening, on-site role supports safe, reliable hospital operation and patient care through proactive maintenance and teamwork.

You will work with electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and other trades to maintain facilities, systems, and infrastructure, ensuring a ready environment for care providers and patients.

Qualifications

• Experience in one or more skilled trades (carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, or building maintenance).
• Two years of experience in commercial, institutional, healthcare, or facilities maintenance.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot building systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the hospital's buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of building systems across multiple disciplines.
• Handle repairs to doors, hardware, ceilings, walls, flooring, fixtures, etc.
