Job summary

The Donohoe Companies, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for CBS in Reston, VA. You will perform operations, repairs, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, while gaining skills toward necessary licenses. Flexibility for a 2:30 pm–11:00 pm shift and weekend work is required.

Responsibilities include inspections, preventative maintenance, and coordinating with subcontractors; strong customer service and reliable transport are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work all shifts.
• Must be available to be on call 24/7.
• Basic coursework in electrical and HVAC systems.
• Universal CFC/R-410A certification.
• Prior hotel experience a plus.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Capable of ascending ladders up to 30 feet.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations, repairs, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
• Inspect systems daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Diagnose and repair simple HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues.
• Interface with building manager and customer representatives to ensure satisfaction.
• Prepare reports on system status as directed by supervisor.
• Assist sub-contractors for install/repair work as required.
