Job summary

Complete Building Services in Reston, VA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform operations, repairs, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment within our facility. This role offers hands-on training toward licenses and opportunities to grow with CBS.

The ideal candidate will work 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, be flexible for weekends, pass on-site inspections, and collaborate with management to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work all shifts.
• Must be on call 24/7.
• Basic coursework in electrical and HVAC systems.
• Certified in Universal CFC/R-410A.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to lift 60 pounds.
• Capable of ascending ladders up to 30 feet.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of systems and equipment.
• Perform preventative and general maintenance on a scheduled basis.
• Maintain equipment to industry standards.
• Diagnose and repair simple HVAC, plumbing, and electrical problems as required.
• Interface with the building manager and client representatives to ensure client satisfaction.
• Complete system status reports as directed by the supervisor.
• Run wiring, cabling, and ductwork, and mount equipment according to specifications.
• Place or remove systems and equipment as directed.
• Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About the Role

The Maintenance Mechanic will perform operations, repairs, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment within the facility, while acquiring skills and knowledge to complete the training required to obtain licenses.

Location: Reston, VA

Hours: 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm (Must be flexible and able to work weekends)

Salary: $22-$26

Typical Day As A Maintenance Mechanic

• Daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of systems and associated equipment
• Perform preventative and general maintenance on a scheduled basis
• Maintainequipment to industry standards
• Diagnose and repair simple HVAC, plumbing, and electrical problems as required and/or as assigned by the supervisor
• Provide assistance and support to sub-contractors designated to perform installation and/or repair of equipment and/or hardware as required
• Interface with the building manager and other customer representatives to ensure client satisfaction
• Complete daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports of the system status as directed by the supervisor
• Run wiring, cabling, and ductwork, and mount equipment according to specifications as directed
• Place or remove systems and equipment as directed
• Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion
• Perform other duties as assigned

You Should Have

• Must be available to work all shifts
• Must be available to be on call 24/7
• Basic coursework in electrical and HVAC systems
• Universal CFC/R-410A
• Prior hotel experience a plus
• Reliable transportation
• Able to lift sixty (60) pounds
• Capableofascending ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feet
• Possess excellent customer service skills
