Job summary

Minnesota State University, Mankato is seeking a General Repair Worker for the 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM shift to perform semi-skilled maintenance across campus. You will assist with plumbing, electrical and mechanical tasks, respond to emergencies, and help keep facilities safe and functional.

The role requires the ability to work with licensed trades, follow safety protocols and lift and move equipment as needed. On-campus work and weather/emergency considerations are included.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of methods and practices across trades (mechanics, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Ability to follow safety protocols and hazards awareness.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate and maintain maintenance equipment.
• Ability to provide work instructions to helpers.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-skilled and maintenance work on campus buildings and systems.
• Respond to emergencies during the 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM shift and on call.
• Maintain fire extinguishers in facilities.
• Support licensed trades workers as needed.
