Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker Inc. in Jackson, TN is seeking a reliable Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team.

You will operate blade manufacturing equipment, monitor furnaces, handle heavy loads, and conduct basic preventative maintenance while following safety and quality standards. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, prior machine operator experience, and the ability to stand for long shifts (8–10 hours) and lift up to 40 lbs.

• Capable of following written and verbal instructions

Responsibilities

• Operate blade manufacturing equipment start-up/shutdown and troubleshoot processing issues.
• Operate and monitor high temperature furnaces, tempering furnaces, endothermic gas generator and related equipment.
• Safely operate overhead crane system and mobile equipment.
• Perform cleaning, basic PM, minor changeovers and tooling adjustments.
• Conduct quality checks using calipers, micrometers, gauges and other measuring tools.
• Perform operator PM and maintain lubrication and coolant levels.
• Maintain and operate multiple machines simultaneously.
• Complete required forms and paperwork.
