Job summary

The Sarasota Art Ovation Hotel is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee daily service at the Perspective Rooftop Bar and related outlets. You will ensure compliance with hotel standards, train staff, control costs, and respond to guest concerns while maintaining safety and quality.

Evening shifts and weekend availability are required. Previous supervisory experience and ServSafe knowledge are preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in Restaurant/Food & Beverage.
• Supervisory/management experience a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to communicate with guests, management, and co-workers.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to compute mathematical calculations and use measurement tools.
• Familiarity with food & beverage cost controls.
• Alcohol awareness training (e.g., TIPS).
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of service bar outlet functions in accordance with hotel standards, focusing on Perspective Rooftop Bar.
• Directs, implements and maintains service and management philosophy for staff.
• Responds to and handles guest-related issues pertaining to the department.
• Ensures compliance with daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department.
• Communicates with General Manager, department managers, supervisors and staff.
• Assists in managing employee performance to ensure productivity and a quality work environment.
