Qualifications

• Basic mathematical skills to understand recipes, measurements and requisitions.
• Ability to read and write English to complete requisitions, read recipes and communicate with colleagues.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and safe food handling.
• Understanding of operating stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, fryers and steamers.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items according to standard recipes and guest checks.
• Checks and controls proper storage and portion sizes.
• Keeps refrigeration, storage and work areas clean and in good condition.
• Prepares requisitions for supplies and uses math to portion items.
• Performs general cleaning to meet health standards.
• Keeps floors dry and clean to prevent slips.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including moving supplies.
