Job summary

One Vision in Clear Lake, IA is seeking a dependable Part-Time Lifeguard for the Evening Shift (5:00 PM–8:15 PM). This role focuses on safety, customer service, and welcoming environment for Wellness Center members, guests, and residents, with training provided at no cost.

Qualifications include being at least 16, strong swimming (300 yards freestyle/breaststroke, 2 minutes treading, retrieve 10-pound object from 7–10 feet), and willingness to complete Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Strong swimming abilities as specified (300 yards freestyle/breaststroke, treading water 2 minutes, retrieve 10 lb object from 7–10 ft).
• Willingness to complete Lifeguard Certification, CPR, and First Aid training.
• Background checks and screenings required.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool and spa areas to maintain a safe environment.
• Perform routine water testing and document results.
• Maintain cleanliness in pool, locker rooms, and common areas.
• Assist with swim lessons, parties, programs, and events as scheduled.
• Respond to emergencies and safety concerns.
• Support daily Wellness Center operations and end-of-day needs.
