Job summary

Resource Connection Aquatic Center is seeking a Part-Time Lifeguard to supervise the facility, enforce pool rules, and provide first aid if needed. The role includes monitoring water chemistry, assisting with learn-to-swim and water exercise programs, and handling facility tours and badge processing.

Requirements include current Lifeguard certification (Deep or Shallow Water), First Aid, and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers, plus being at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Current certification in Deep Water or Shallow Water Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers.
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• One year of lifeguarding experience preferred.
• Experience teaching water exercise classes preferred.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, chemicals, and processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patrons and enforces pool rules; provides rescues and first aid as needed.
• Tests and maintains water chemistry; adjusts temperature and logs.
• Assists with reservations, tours, memberships, and badge processing; handles conflicts.
• Ensures safety and cleanliness of pool area, lifeguard office, and locker rooms.
• Closes and secures pool area; reports incidents and communicates with supervisor.
