Job summary

The YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley in Eldridge, IA is seeking a part-time lifeguard to help maintain a safe and welcoming aquatic environment for members, guests, and staff. This role focuses on pool safety, preventive vigilance, and excellent customer service.

Training is provided if needed and a supportive team culture awaits. You will monitor water and deck areas, enforce rules consistently, perform 10-10 surveillance, wear the rescue fannie pack and rescue tube, complete incident

Qualifications

• Must be lifeguard certified (certifications provided if needed).
• Ability to respond quickly and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of water and pool deck areas.
• Enforce aquatic rules and procedures consistently and fairly.
• Wear rescue gear (fannie pack and rescue tube) at all times while on duty.
• Record and submit incident reports accurately.
• Keep pool area clean when not performing primary duties.
