Armor Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Corrections Center of NW Ohio (CCNO) in Stryker, OH. This role focuses on delivering compassionate nursing care within a secure, correctional setting and supporting physicians and nurses in daily rounds.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in the state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficient with electronic medical records.
• Able to pass Level 2 background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers with exams, treatments, tests, and routine procedures.
• Obtain patient health history, vital signs, and specimens, including TB tests.
• Conduct lab tests and deliver results to the physician or nurse.
• Ensure patients receive proper care for injuries or conditions.
• Review charts and report observed symptoms, reactions, and changes.
• Coordinate patient transfers, administer medications, and document contacts using POMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers, registered nurses, and allied health professionals with examinations, treatments, special tests, and routine procedures.
• Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, vital signs and administers TB skin tests.
• Conduct lab tests and ensures the results are delivered to the correct physician or registered nurse.
• Ensure patient is receiving proper care for injury or condition.
• Review patient chart; records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient’s conditions.
• Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities or outside health care providers; administer medications; implement healthcare practitioners' orders; and document all patient contacts using the POMR format.

Qualifications

• Current/Active state license as an LPN
• Current CPR certificate
• Proficient with electronic medical records
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include a background check and drug screen
