GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

Maintain a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel by performing all stages of linen processing. To include sorting, loading and unloading washers and driers, folding and storing linens. Must be able to lift, carry, move, push, pull, and place objects 50lbs. Flexible availability needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel by performing all stages of linen processing.
  • Safely operates and maneuvers a small box truck on property to transport laundry and supplies.
  • To include sorting, soiled and unsoiled linen, loading and unloading washers and driers, folding and storing linen.
  • These tasks are to be handled in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner resulting in a very high level of guest satisfaction.
  • This position will involve bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Clean lint filters after each use

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work all shifts and have a flexible schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

There is no prior experience or training required to perform the essential functions of this job.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
