Job summary

Woodloch Resort in Hawley, PA is seeking a housekeeping team member to maintain high cleanliness standards and provide courteous service to guests. The role emphasizes staying on top of cleaning tasks across rooms and public areas, ensuring a welcoming, well-kept environment for vacationing families.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence and memos, present information and updates in one-on-one and/or small group situations with guests, homeowners, guests, or coworkers.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply numbers using units of money, weight measurement, volume and distance.

Responsibilities

  • Make-Up Day: Straighten and clean assigned rooms, houses, public areas and staff areas to specifications provided during training; wash and dry dishes, empty garbage, remake beds, restock towels, soap, tissues and other supplies, dust and vacuum, wash floors, toilets, tubs and sinks.
  • Changeover Day: When guests check-out, clean all rooms and houses; change linens, wash garbage cans and recycle containers, replace laundry bags and supplies, and coordinate with Laundry for needed items.

Job Overview

To maintain a high quality standard of cleanliness and provide courteous service to guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Make-Up Day: Straighten and clean assigned rooms, houses, public areas and staff areas to specifications provided during training. This includes:
    • Wash and dry: Dishes, plates, and flatware
    • Empty: Garbage
    • Remake or change beds as necessary
    • Restock: Towels, soap, tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, and coffee
    • Dust, vacuum, wash bathroom and kitchen floors
    • Cleaning: Toilets, tubs and sinks
    • Maintain utility, stock carts and vans and order needed supplies from Laundry
  • Changeover Day: When guests check-out, clean all rooms and houses assigned to you.
    • Change all linens
    • Wash: Garbage cans and recycle containers
    • Replace: Laundry bags, hangers, room folder supplies, and shower curtains
    • Maintain utility, stock carts and vans and order needed supplies from Laundry
    • Section Leader will call office for more instructions
    • Other duties as assigned.
