Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Laboratory Technician I for Tue-Sat 2:00pm–10:30pm, reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor. Responsibilities include sample registration, data entry, testing, and ensuring timely, accurate results while following ISO/IEC 17025 guidelines.

HS Diploma is required; BA is preferred but not required. AS/BS in Microbiology or related field is a plus. Excellent benefits and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• BA degree recommended but not required.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Reads, understands and follows management system requirements including ISO/IEC 17025/AOAC ALACC and regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations; maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Registration of incoming samples and accurate daily records for QC purposes.
• Enter sample data into the eLIMS system accurately.
• Complete laboratory testing on all samples in a timely and accurate manner.
• Verify results and submit to appropriate personnel for transmission.
• Identify process difficulties and propose solutions to supervisor.
• Maintain readiness to respond to clients and co-workers queries.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships and clear communication.
• Promote the company image through ethical business practices.
• Continually strive to improve quality with new technologies.
• Identify non-conformances and out-of-specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
