Job summary

The Cincinnati Children's Office of Academic Affairs and Career Development is seeking a Regular full-time laboratory professional for Location G in the Central Clinical Lab. You will work evening shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, 40 hours per week.

Under supervision, you will perform a spectrum of lab tests, maintain quality control, and support patient-care decisions by accurately preparing specimens and reporting results. Strong attention to safety and compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological science or related field.
• 0+ years of experience.
• Any license, certification, or registration required.
• Preferred MLS/MLT certification.

Responsibilities

• Departmental Support - Conduct, direct or assist in special projects, evaluations, experiments or research. Participate in regularly schedule cross trained rotation and demonstrate continued competency in various sections of the Clinical Laboratory.
• Technical Skills and Knowledge - Perform a variety of laboratory tests, operate instruments, perform checks, calibrations, QC procedures and report results.
• Customer Service - Maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, respond to requests, and communicate effectively.
• Professional Development - Maintain currency in the field through continuing education and mandatory trainings.
• Quality and Accountability - Maintain accuracy, comply with policies, and ensure a safe, efficient work environment.
