Job summary

Under the general direction of the Section Supervisor, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital performs a variety of laboratory tests to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment. The role requires maintaining competency, quality control, and compliance across the Central Clinical Lab.

Night shift opportunities are available with a 40-hour work week. A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a related field is required, with MLS/MLT certification preferred to advance competency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological science or an Associate's degree in related science.
• 0+ years of experience.
• License, certification, or registration required; MLS/MLT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintain quality control and competency across multiple sections of the Clinical Laboratory.
• Prepare samples, reagents, store specimens and assist with inventory and data collection.
• Ensure compliance with policies, guidelines, and safety standards.
