Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Lab Assistant II for North Bergen, NJ. The role is a hospital-based position at Palisades, Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Performs routine lab functions to assist staff and support production.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in a technical or clinical laboratory department.

Responsibilities

• Receive, label, handle, and prepare specimens.
• Assist with pre-analytical preparation of specimens and load automated instruments.
• Record digital temperature and notify licensed personnel if out of range.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance on some equipment.
• Assist in preparation of chemicals, reagents and solutions.
• Maintain work area and equipment; manage glassware and supplies.
