Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to join our fast-paced Laboratory team. You will perform patient interviews, collect blood specimens, ensure insurance and Medicare compliance, and support on-site and off-site collection activities.

The role requires phlebotomy experience or certification, basic medical terminology knowledge, and strong customer service skills. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Some knowledge of medical terminology required.
Computer skills and basic word processing are expected.

Responsibilities

Performs admission interview process at Outreach Service Centers or uses information provided by clients at collection/pickup.
Ensures all Medicare, insurance and managed care requirements are met prior to registration.
Responds to inquiries regarding patients.
Obtains blood specimens (on or off site) following established procedures and safety requirements.
Obtains specimens requiring special collection procedures following established procedures.
Performs diagnostic electrocardiograms for outpatients and manages INR QC/testing.
