Job summary

Chick-fil-A Easton Park in Austin, Texas is seeking a dependable Kitchen Shift Leader to guide the afternoon and evening kitchen team. You will set tempo, supervise food preparation, and uphold Chick-fil-A standards for safety, quality, and speed.

This role requires four to five nights per week with closing duties; preferred start around 2:00 p.m. You will mentor teammates, handle challenges with empathy, and help develop future leaders in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Restaurant or high-volume kitchen experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations during assigned shifts.
• Set the pace and work alongside the team during busy periods.
• Ensure food is prepared safely, accurately, and according to Chick-fil-A standards.
• Maintain strong expectations for food quality, cleanliness, organization, and speed.
• Position team members effectively and adjust the shift plan as business needs change.
• Coach team members with clarity, respect, and empathy.
• Address performance or behavioral concerns professionally.
• Communicate priorities and operational needs to other leaders.
• Complete all closing procedures thoroughly and accurately.
• Help control waste, protect inventory, and care for restaurant equipment.
• Create a kitchen environment where team members feel supported, challenged, and valued.
• Help develop future trainers and leaders.
