Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care System is seeking an RN Unit Supervisor for the ICU in Hermiston, OR. The role supports nurse leaders, coordinates daily clinical operations, and ensures safe, high-quality patient care across units.

You will oversee staffing coordination, contribute to regulatory readiness, mentor staff, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Current Oregon RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, BSN preferred; 3 years nursing leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN preferred; specialty certification is a plus.
• Current RN license in Oregon; BLS, ACLS, PALS required.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
• Knowledge of patient care standards and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily clinical operations and workflow of the unit.
• Serves as a clinical resource to staff and supports safe, patient-centered care.
• Assists with staffing coordination, schedule support, patient throughput.
• Supports orientation and staff development.
• Participates in quality monitoring and regulatory readiness (DNV as applicable).
• Promotes effective communication with patients, families, providers.
• Provides direct and indirect patient care as needed.
• Participates in interviews, onboarding, evaluations, and corrective actions.
• Performs other related duties.
