Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care System in Hermiston, Oregon is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to coordinate daily clinical operations on the Emergency Center unit, partnering with unit leadership and an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

The role supports staffing coordination, patient flow, regulatory readiness, staff education, and performance improvement, with direct and indirect patient care as needed. Oregon RN license required and BSN/MSN preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in Oregon and current credential.
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN or MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily clinical operations and workflow of the unit with unit leadership and interdisciplinary team.
• Serves as a clinical resource to staff and supports safe, patient-centered care.
• Assists with staffing coordination, schedule support, patient throughput, and assignment awareness.
• Supports orientation, onboarding, competency validation, and staff development with leadership.
• Participates in quality monitoring, performance improvement, regulatory readiness, and compliance activities.
