Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN license in the State of Oregon, BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Minimum of 3 years nursing experience.
• Leadership, educator, or quality improvement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the hospital mission, vision, values, goals, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinates daily clinical operations and workflow of the unit with unit leadership and interdisciplinary team.
• Serves as a clinical resource to staff and supports safe, patient-centered care based on nursing process and hospital standards.
• Assists with staffing coordination, schedule support, patient throughput, and assignment awareness.
• Supports orientation, onboarding, competency validation, and ongoing staff development in collaboration with RN leadership.
• Participates in quality monitoring, performance improvement, regulatory readiness, and compliance activities, including DNV programs.
• Promotes effective communication and collaboration with patients, families, providers, and other departments.
• Assists in monitoring documentation and unit processes for alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provides direct and indirect patient care as needed and demonstrates competence across department patient populations.
• Participates in interviews, onboarding, probationary reviews, performance evaluations, and corrective-action processes.
• May initiate coaching or corrective action with HR as needed.
