Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ohio EPA certificate Type I/II or Universal Refrigerant Systems required.
• Three years of experience as a commercial/residential HVAC/refrigeration technician; military experience considered.
• Formal vocational study may substitute up to 1 year of experience.
• Ability to read electric schematic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration/air conditioning systems and related equipment (refrigerators, freezers, walk‑in coolers, chillers, rooftop units).
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic controls, solid state microprocessors and system alarms.
• Repair refrigerant leaks and evacuate/adjust refrigerant charges.
