Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant (Custodian/Janitor) to support our community. The role involves daily cleaning, carpet care, and outdoor area maintenance to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents.

The position operates 1:00pm–9:30pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, emphasizing teamwork with nursing staff and adherence to facility standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Interact tactfully with residents, family members, staff, and visitors.
• Comfortable working with ill or elderly residents and handling sensitive situations.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, teammates, residents, and families.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping tasks and follow safety precautions.
• Follow cleaning schedules and coordinate with nursing staff when needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and attractive living areas for residents.
• Dispose of PPE and manage cleaning supplies properly.
• Ensure work areas and equipment are stored securely after shifts.
• Assist with lifting and moving items as needed.
• Polish furnishings, fixtures, and surfaces in resident rooms and common areas.
• Maintain bathrooms and wet areas, including disinfecting and polishing.
