Job summary

Gurwin Healthcare System in Commack, NY is seeking a full-time Housekeeper for the assisted living campus. The evening shift runs 3pm to 11pm with every other weekend off, supporting a clean and safe environment for residents across both apartments and common areas.

Qualified candidates will have prior cleaning experience, the ability to follow written and oral instructions, and capacity to stand or walk for extended periods. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital, nursing home or assisted living preferred.
• Understands written and oral instructions.
• Able to complete schedules effectively and in a timely manner.
• Capable of standing and walking for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Duties include keeping assigned areas of our Assisted Living Residences in a clean, sanitary, safe and orderly condition as directed by the Director of Housekeeping and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining resident apartments and common areas.
• Candidate must have general cleaning knowledge and prior experience.
