Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to support daily cleanliness and safety across our facility. You will follow federal, state, and local standards to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include executing daily housekeeping tasks, coordinating with nursing staff, and ensuring supplies and equipment are properly stored. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and compassionate service to residents.

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, residents, and families.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping functions and follow established safety precautions and infection control procedures.
• Follow cleaning schedules and coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
• Maintain work areas as clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive.
• Ensure adequate supply of housekeeping supplies and proper storage in closets.
• Assist others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc., as directed or requested.
• Clean furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident rooms and areas daily.
• Clean bathrooms, remove water marks, and sanitize surfaces.
• Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms and common areas.
• Clean floors including sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, and carpet vacuuming.
• Clean walls and ceilings; remove dirt and disinfect as needed.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, film from surfaces using proper solutions.
• Clean hallways, stairways, elevators, and vacant rooms.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are stored properly at all times.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
