Job summary

The Lodge at Woodloch is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Associate to maintain pristine public areas and assist with turndown service. Open availability 3pm–11pm supports guest needs at a tranquil wellness resort.

In this role you will follow SOPs, communicate with other departments, and ensure safety while delivering friendly, energetic service. The position offers both full-time and part-time schedules and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • High School, GED, or trade school education.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Basic arithmetic for handling items and transactions.
  • Willingness to learn and follow standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Regular and timely attendance for scheduled shifts.
  • Maintain uniform and presentable appearance at all times.
  • Follow payroll, pager and key procedures.
  • Initiate and maintain effective communication among co-workers and other departments.
  • Provide turndown service to rooms during dinner hours.
  • Deliver items upon request.
  • Ensure all public areas are cleaned in detail per checklist.
  • Maintain storage areas and inventory in a neat, orderly fashion.
  • Report deficiencies and needed repairs in daily log.
  • Be familiar with hotel and spa safety and emergency procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Responsible for cleaning public areas, including all areas on checklist and turndown services while guests are at dinner, in addition to any other tasks requested by Housekeeping Supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Regular and timely attendance for scheduled shifts.
  • To be in uniform, neat and well presented at all times.
  • Follows correct payroll, pager and key procedures.
  • Initiates and maintains effective communication amongst co-workers and between the Spa and other departments.
  • Privide turn down service to rooms while guests are at dinner.
  • Deliver items upon request.
  • Ensures that all public areas are cleaned in detail, as directed updated checklist.
  • Maintains equipment storage area and general storage areas in Housekeeping, in a neat, orderly fashion.
  • Ensures adequate inventory of cleaning chemicals.
  • Keeps all equipment clean and workable and reports any deficiencies and needed repairs in daily log.
  • Is familiar with hotel and spa safety and emergency procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Is familiar with, and adheres to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School, GED, or trade school education.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
