American Social is seeking a friendly and upbeat Host/Hostess to welcome guests, manage the seating area, and maintain a smooth flow of guests throughout shifts. You will coordinate with servers and managers to optimize seating and accommodate large parties while ensuring a positive first impression.

The role requires strong English communication, reliability, and the ability to work late-night hours. Weekend and holiday availability is expected as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 or older.
• Ability to work late-night shifts, potentially 12 AM–3 AM.
• Possess food handling or alcohol awareness certification a plus.
• Fluent in English with clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they arrive and manage the seating area.
• Seat guests, maintain waiting list, and notify when seating is available.
• Coordinate with servers and managers about table availability and large parties.
• Use seating systems (e.g., Open Table) to optimize guest flow.
• Keep host area stocked and maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Answer phones with directions, hours, take-out orders, and directions.
