Valley Forge Medical is seeking a receptionist to manage calls, greet visitors, route messages, and support patient information processing within a hospital setting. The role emphasizes accuracy in admissions, EMR updates, and adherence to privacy and policy requirements.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience; hospital experience is preferred. Schedule includes an evening shift from 4pm to 11pm one night per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming telephone calls and route them appropriately.
• Accurately record and distribute messages for hospital staff.
• Organize and distribute mail to designated slots.
• Welcome visitors, assess their needs, and provide appropriate direction.
• Address inquiries in compliance with hospital policies on patient and proprietary information release.
• Perform admissions and pre-screening of patients, ensuring the accuracy of information.
• Prepare and complete patient consent forms, verify health insurance coverage, and scan cards into EMR.
• Update patient EMR for step-downs, transfers, and program changes.
• Execute other assigned duties.
