Job summary

Miami Children’s Hospital is seeking a calm, vigilant Public Safety Officer for full-time evening shifts. You will patrol the main campus, escort staff and visitors, respond to alarms, and document incidents per hospital guidelines.

The role requires a Florida guard license, CPI safety training, and strong customer service skills to support patients, families, and employees in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• AED certification required within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association) and maintained active.
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire and maintained active.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Florida Security D license required within 90 days of hire and maintained in good standing.
• Complete NCH Security Training Program after probationary period within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Patrols and secures hospital buildings and grounds, including offsite locations.
• Escort visitors, patients, and staff as needed for safety.
• Investigate incidents and write detailed incident reports.
• Maintain logs and security records.
• Respond to alarms and emergency codes promptly.
