Job summary

Fairview Health Services' Riverside University Hospital in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Nutrition Service Aide responsible for preparing, portioning, and serving food while upholding HACCP and sanitation standards.

The role includes scheduled Week 1 and Week 2 shifts with 0.34 FTE (27 hours per pay period), day shift, and every other weekend. The position emphasizes food safety, accurate portioning, and customer service in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, in English.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and portions food appropriately for designated areas.
• Plates and serves food.
• Handles and stores food following HACCP standard procedures.
• Sanitizes equipment and work area per schedules and procedures.
• Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils.
• Serve customers in cafeterias, doctors dining rooms and other non-patient locations.
• Adjust care or service approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
