Job summary

Wellstar Health System is hiring for an Evening shift Housekeeper in a full-time role within our Georgia hospitals. You will support cleaning of patient rooms and hospital areas, ensure proper waste handling, and maintain infection prevention practices in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

You will work with a team to deliver World Class service, interact with patients and staff, and use Epic to manage bed and patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and understand simple instructions in English.
• All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Responsibilities

• Performs full range of restroom cleaning and complete patient room cleaning following cleaning protocols.
• Follows infection prevention protocols and uses appropriate cleaning chemicals.
• Maintains walls, doors, glass, furniture, and floors through routine cleaning tasks.
• Properly handles waste streams including solid, bio-waste, chemotherapy and pharmaceutical waste.
• Uses PPE correctly and follows lifting techniques to ensure safety.
• Complies with hospital policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Documents daily assignments and uses the Epic system to manage bed and patient flow.
