Job summary

Tufts Medicine Lowell General Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Worker to maintain a clean, orderly environment in patient areas, offices, and clinics. Responsibilities include restocking supplies, cleaning and disinfecting rooms, and safely operating cleaning equipment.

The role supports patient care teams and requires basic English and attention to safety protocols. The position offers a 32–40 hour schedule on the second shift (3pm–11:30pm) with benefits and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of related experience.
• Ability to read simple instructions and communicate in basic English.
• Able to operate cleaning equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a stocked, orderly cleaning cart.
• Remove waste and manage trash receptacles.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and surfaces.
• Disinfect patient rooms and change bed linens.
• Transport linen and collect waste to designated areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment and report issues.
