Job summary

Lowell General Hospital is seeking Environmental Services Workers to maintain clean and safe patient and public areas on the Lowell campus. The role supports dining, facilities, and environmental services, performing cleaning, waste removal, and routine disinfection under supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience. Hours are 32–40 per week on the second shift (3pm–11:30pm) with a set schedule and guaranteed hours.

• One year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, orderly environment in patient areas, offices, clinics, and other assigned areas.
• Removes waste and disposables, ensures proper disposal and recycling.
• Disinfects bathrooms, surfaces, and equipment; restocks supplies as needed.
• Transports linen and maintains cleanliness of patient rooms and surrounding areas.
• Operates cleaning equipment and reports equipment problems to supervisor.
