Job summary

Tufts Medicine - Lowell General Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Worker to maintain a clean, orderly environment across patient areas and hospital spaces. The role requires routine housekeeping, waste removal, linen transport, and use of cleaning equipment under supervision.

• Ability to read simple instructions, write, and speak basic English.
• Ability to interact with hospital staff, visitors, and patients in a friendly, cooperative manner.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly environment in patient areas, offices, clinics, and other assigned areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use chemicals safely to disinfect areas.
• Remove waste, replenish supplies, and transport linens as needed.
• Perform duties during evening shift and comply with Infection Control practices.
• Complete daily inspections and report equipment problems to supervisor.
