Job summary

Lowell General Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Worker to maintain a clean, orderly hospital environment under supervision. The role focuses on housekeeping tasks across patient areas, offices, and clinics, with emphasis on sanitation and safety according to established standards.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience.
• Ability to read simple instructions, write, and speak basic English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a cleaning cart in an orderly condition with supplies; keep cart stocked.
• Removes waste including rubbish, recycling, and hazardous material.
• Cleans and disinfects bathrooms, floors, and surfaces; posts Wet Floor signs.
• Disposes of trash, replaces liners, and transports to designated areas.
• Cleans patient rooms and makes beds with fresh linen when needed.
• Operates cleaning equipment and assists with setup for functions as required.
