Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to perform floor cleaning, sanitation, and related housekeeping duties at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. The role requires 40 hours per week with a 3:00pm to 11:30pm schedule, focused on maintaining clean and safe hospital environments and complying with safety standards.

Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, performing terminal cleans as needed, and collaborating with the team to meet patient and department needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience; 1–2 years housekeeping experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, strip, polish and refinish floors using appropriate equipment and supplies.
• Operates cleaning equipment (vacuum, floor machines, sweepers, etc.).
• Clean or sanitize after emergency spills as requested.
• Maintain floors and carpets per department process.
• Display timely completion of all assignments.
• Seek additional tasks from group leader when time permits.
• Handle waste and hazardous waste per hospital processes.
