Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Aide for the evening shift at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. The role focuses on cleaning, floor care, waste disposal, and maintaining infection-control standards to support a safe patient environment.

You will work 40 hours per week, from 3:00pm to 11:30pm, with a full-time schedule and benefits eligible. High school diploma or GED preferred; prior housekeeping experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; 1–2 years housekeeping experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, strips, polishes and refinishes floors using appropriate equipment and/or supplies.
• Operates cleaning equipment such as ringers, vacuums, electric floor machines, sweepers.
• Clean or sanitize after emergencies as needed.
• Maintain hard floors and carpets following department processes.
• Demonstrate customer service and professional conduct with patients, families and staff.
