Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to read, write and follow directions.
• Basic math skills required.
• On-the-job training provided; Serv Safe may be required depending on location.
• BLS may be required depending upon location.
• Possesses a valid Driver's License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, assembles baked goods, cooks, seasons and portions food for patients/residents, staff, and visitors, within menu and dietary guidelines.
• Adheres to food quality standards for appearance, taste, temperature and sanitation.
• Performs washing and cleaning to ensure sanitation in cooking and serving areas.
• Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment and machinery.
• Provides high quality, safe food to patients/residents, co-workers and guests.
• Communicates effectively with internal customers and works well in a team.
• Demonstrates ability to adapt to a dynamic culinary environment.
• Follows HACCP guidelines and documents steps, temperatures and outcomes.
