Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Beverly, MA is seeking an Evening Hospice RN to join our growing team for 3 nights per week, 4:00pm–9:00pm.

The RN will assess, plan, and deliver hospice care using the nursing process, educate patients and families, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to manage pain and symptoms.

Massachusetts RN license, and BLS required; EPIC experience preferred; at least 1 year of direct care nursing experience required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or BSN required (preferred).
• Active Massachusetts RN license.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of direct care nursing experience; EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan hospice care using the nursing process.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and document findings.
• Educate patients and families about the dying process and expectations.
• Develop patient-specific care plans emphasizing pain and symptom management.
• Instruct on medications, side effects, dosing, and routes.
• Document services using problem-oriented records.
• Supervise Hospice Aides; participate in case conferences as needed.
