Job summary

Bristol Hospice in Merced, CA is seeking experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Home Health Aides (HHA) for full-time evening swing shift, $23 per hour. You will work under RN supervision providing personal care, comfort, and bedside routines to hospice patients, with a focus on compassionate, respectful care and patient-family communication.

Qualifications

• Certification of Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide required per state regulations.
• Minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.
• Licensed driver with insured automobile in good working order.
• Willingness to submit to a criminal background check prior to hire and annually thereafter.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Spend quality one-on-one time with patients and families to support everyday needs.
• Care for hospice patients with personal care tasks and comfort measures.
• Provide bedtime care including personal hygiene regimens as required.
• Provide aroma therapy and gentle touch; lotion rubs to hands and feet.
• Record vital signs and report changes to the Case Manager.
• Assist patients with ambulation and exercises; maintain a clean living area.
