Job summary

Bristol Hospice in California seeks compassionate Certified Home Health Aides to join an interdisciplinary team. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, you provide personal care, monitor health status, and support patients and families in their homes.

Preferred CA HHA certification and CNA in good standing; 75 hours training; driver’s license; strong communication and documentation skills; willingness to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Must be a CNA in good standing and have a current HHA certification in California.
• Prefer 1 year of hospice/community health or medical/surgical experience.
• Minimum 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, oral hygiene, and dressing.
• Meet safety needs and use equipment properly.
• Take and record vital signs when ordered and report changes.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and nutrition planning.
• Support mobility, transfers, and range of motion.
• Assist with medication reminders as allowed by state law.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment for the patient.
• Document care provided and communicate with Case Manager.
