Job summary

Bristol Public Schools is seeking a High School PM Athletic Coordinator for the BEHS spring season. This role involves organizing and administering the middle/high school athletics program, coordinating game days, communicating with staff, parents, and visiting teams, and ensuring compliance with district policies and safety guidelines.

The coordinator reports to the Director of Athletics and the building administrator.

Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut coaching certification or temporary emergency coaching permit.
• Updated CPR/First Aid training approved by Connecticut State Department of Education.
• Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sports offered at the middle school level.

Responsibilities

• Attend and supervise all home athletic contests.
• Assist with visiting teams arrival and departure.
• Assist with athletic officials arrival and departure.
• Assist with crowd control and other necessary obligations during the entirety of the athletic contest.
• Assisting the High School AM Athletic Coordinator with certain tasks throughout the season.
• Confirming game workers, security, and athletic officials totals in scheduling software.
• Assisting in assigning and confirming athletic contest game workers.
• Assisting in maintaining master game workers schedules.
• Develop appropriate rules and regulations governing student conduct during after school events.
• Assist in the development of budgets by providing equipment and supply requests when necessary.
