Job summary

Seattle's Union Gospel Mission is seeking a Guest Services Associate I to join the Women & Children's Ministries team in a Christian residential program. You will help provide information, referrals, and support services to guests, lead volunteers, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

The role supports a grace-based ministry, with duties including safety checks, detailed shift logs, data entry, and coordinating classes and events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year's customer service experience required.
• 1 year working in a social services environment preferred.
• Microsoft Office skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive, Christian atmosphere on shift and support Grace-based ministry.
• Oversee safety and cleanliness of the facility on shift, including bed and floor checks.
• Lead and guide guests, and coordinate with staff and volunteers.
• Document shift events in staff logs and communicate updates via email.
• Answer calls for program information and provide resources as needed.
• Assist with data entry, records, and administrative tasks.
• Coordinate support groups or classes and assist with event planning.
• Perform janitorial/maintenance duties and restock supplies as required.
• Monitor visitors, manage reception area, and direct guests appropriately.
